Indy Crit this weekend!

Are you still all buzz and glow from the Mass Ave. Crit last weekend? Thinking, "Dang, it's going to be another year before I see bike racing like that again in downtown Indy." Well, nope!

This Saturday marks the inaugural running of the Indy Criterium Cycling Race and we hope you can be part of the day's events! Staged in the heart of Downtown Indianapolis, the Indy Criterium is a classic criterium course that features some of the most highly recognized landmarks of our city. Rarely is there an opportunity like this to race on the city streets of downtown Indianapolis! The Indy Crit will feature a completely closed 0.7 mile course, varying in width from four to six lanes, almost half of which is newly paved! The course will lead you onto the bricks of Market Street with a quarter loop around Monument Circle, the very soul of our city. And best of all, 100% of the event proceeds will go to benefit Freewheelin' Community Bikes! But the Indy Criterium isn't just fun for the racers. We have activities for the entire family! Come out to watch the cyclists and cheer on your favorite rider or check out the kids races and vendor displays. Our full line up of events is listed here. We hope to see you this Saturday!

Freewheelin' had a ball at the IndyCrit! It was incredibly well organized by a small number of people for a first-time event. And, we can't say enough about how grateful we are when people are so generous to us!
