TONIGHT! - CIBA Lecture Series: Jim Sayer / Adventure Cycling
by   |   0 COMMENTS

Jim Sayer is a “man in-the-know”, when it comes to all things cycling (and social and “green” issues, too). As an individual, Jim has been cycling ever since the 1976 Bike-Centennial - right up to his latest adventure with his wife and two teen-age daughters down the Pacific Coast. As Executive Director of Adventure Cycling Association, the largest cycling membership group in North America, he oversees a lot - including, and perhaps most importantly, the creation of the new U.S. Bicycle Route System.    Jim is also a member of the Executive Board of America Bikes, the national coalition working for better policy and more resources for cycling at the national level. Come hear Jim share his passion and knowledge with us as he talks about a wide variety of topics, from the state of cycling at the national level, to bike travel opportunities globally and in the U.S., to the development of the visionary official U.S. Bicycle Route System. We might even get to hear about cycle touring with teen-age girls! (Did they “get into it”, or did they mutiny?) ALL PRESENTATIONS ARE FROM 7-8:30 P.M. AT CENTRAL LIBRARY’S CLOWES AUDITORIUM AND ARE FREE TO THE PUBLIC. SPONSORED BY C.I.B.A. (Central Indiana Bicycling Association) and IMCPL
