As you may have heard, last Saturday (8/25) was the Inaugural CIBA/INDYCOG Swap Meet held in the East plaza of the Indianapolis City Market. The event far exceeded our (CIBA & INDYCOG) expectations. We had 20 vendors selling everything from bicycles to parts and even clothing and cycling accessories (for bike and body). Yes, you heard me correctly, we had one vendor selling bicycle themed purses, handbags, wallets and jewelry. In addition to the vendors, we had several hundred shoppers looking for that hard to find part or that perfect bike that they couldn't find anywhere else. If we had one complaint, it would have been the heat but thanks to our generous sponsors, Flat Flat 12 Biewerks and Sun King Brewing Co. we had some fine craft brew to help cool us down. Lastly, we would like to thank our volunteers: Derek H., Lauren M., Aaron K., Courtney T., Molly T., Jess R., Tim C., Samantha C., Irene W. and our bartender, Tom Julian because without volunteers (especially the bartender), our events would not and could not be successful.
