Indy Cyclists,
We are supporting Ms. Barker's attempt to install a very unique bicycle corral in front of her establishment on 916 E. Westfield Blvd., in Broad Ripple. Ms. Barker is working through the red tape at the city and she is contributing a minimum of $1,000 towards this project which is extremely generous considering this rack will be in the public right of way for all of us to use. The total price tag will be ~$4,200, so we still need to fund raise quite a bit of money. If you venture into Broad Ripple via bicycle or just want to see more people on bikes, please help us raise the additional $3,200. Donate now by going to our donations page and select "Support Current Programing and pick the Bambu Salon Bicycle Corral option. Jennifer will be happy with any donation level from $5 to $5,000 so please read her plea below and then donate..
Sincerely,
Kevin Whited
Executive Director

(not the actual design)
At Bambu Salon, we strive to connect environment, wellness and beauty. Whether it's the eco-friendly products we use or the fundraising we do to protect our local watersheds, we're not just giving haircuts... Our beauty from the inside-out approach strives to make people feel better, which in turn has a chain effect on the rest of the world. With this goal in mind, we're working to create a unique, functional piece of art for our neighborhood. This offbeat sculpture will take the shape of a comb, enabling up to nine bicycles to park and enjoy Broad Ripple Village without the hassles of looking for a parking spot.
But we need your help. We're more than happy to do more than our share but as a new, small business we need a little help from our friends - and every little bit makes a difference.
-Jennifer Barker, Owner of Bambu Salon
