How much do you train? Maybe not as much as you'd like, but you still spend a lot of time cycling on your local roads. In some areas that experience is a good one, in others it's more like a war.

Do local and state officials tune out when you try to talk to them about bicycling? Are they unconvinced by arguments about public health, transportation options, or clean air? Do business leaders send you packing when you suggest building new bike lanes and bike parking, fearing that the loss of car parking will keep customers away?

Doesn't it seem that flats come in cycles (no pun intended)? Sometimes this may be because you failed to find that nail or piece of glass or other rubber invader. Three times on my morning commutes to work in the past few weeks, it has happened to me.

This spring, the tennis courts at Arsenal Park will go through a makeover for a different kind of sport that is taking off in cities across the country. Indianapolis Bicycle Polo, in cooperation with Indy Parks, will turn the largely unused and neglected tennis courts into a bicycle polo court.

This is my fourth winter commuting by bicycle, and the warmer-than-usual season has been a relief in some ways. Unlike last year, there's been a minimum of icy days, where it was downright peril to be cycling.
