Please take time to help out the city do their bi-annual bike counts. If we want to grow the bicycle network it helps to measure the growth in usage and that is where you and I come in. Take some time on 10/8 or 10/12 to help do counts.

NUVO's blog by Katelyn Coyne has a interesting take on commuting this week.

Dear IndyGo Bus Operator,

When you came up behind me and honked your horn during my morning commute, it startled me - so much in fact that I lost my shoe. I attempted to pedal (shoeless and rather unsuccessfully) to the side of the road in the middle of the morning rush. When the bus that you were driving came within inches of taking my life, it upset me.

While taking part in the Open Streets Indy, why not build a set of bike buckets from reused kitty litter containers for your groceries/commuting/cold beverage hauling needs? Weather proof, versatile, and stylish, these buckets will make you the coolest kid on the block and the envy of your coworkers & neighbors.
