Volunteer

IndyCog's success as well as the growth of cycling in Indianapolis is dependent on you getting involved and expanding our reach. We have numerous opportunities for you to contribute to IndyCog's goal of making Indianapolis a more bicycle friendly city for both transportation and recreation so please consider volunteering for one (or many) of the below programs.

Volunteer Areas

We can use nearly any talent you may have, from parking bicycles to educating drivers and cyclists. We also need people with accounting skills, data entry, event planning, public speaking, social media, and more. Basically if you can think of it, we need it.

Other Volunteer Opportunities

From time to time, we get requests from partner organizations to help them recruit volunteers. Here are some upcoming opportunities:

24 Indianapolis, June 23-24

24 Foundation, formerly known as 24 Hours of Booty, has evolved from one man to a national foundation aiding in the revolution of cancer navigation and survivorship. Over 16 years ago, the 24 Foundation came to fruition with one man on a bike pedaling for 24 hours with a goal to change the conversation about cancer. Our event HQ will be held at Butler University and the 3-mile Loop runs through Butler Tarkington Neighborhood. The event hosts over 400 riders and 200 walkers, who will raise funds for the IU Health Simon Cancer Center.

Participants will run or walk a route that travels in and out of venues, including Carroll Stadium, Victory Field, Lucas Oil Stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse and the Indiana State Museum. Each venue will feature a themed challenge, such as kicking a field goal at Lucas Oil Stadium or running the bases at Victory Field.
